Emotions are always heightened during full moons as they can bring a lot to the surface. This full moon provides us a chance to balance these energies within ourselves and then notice the changes in our relationships.
Remember anything you see on the outside is always a reflection of you. If you have a strong dislike for another person, take a second glance and ask yourself:
“How is this person reflecting back to me what I do not like about myself?”
The energy right now is very feminine––with both Virgo and Pisces being feminine signs. Virgo is an earth sign and Pisces is a water sign. Again, this offers us a chance to find a balance between our practical side and our emotional side.
This particular full moon and the coming weeks afterwards are offering an opportunity for profound healing as we come to the end of winter and prepare for the birth of new life in the spring.
Virgo is typically symbolized by the Virgin maiden. This isn’t virginity in a sexual sense, but rather a purity that embodies a sense of wholeness. Virgo is all about integration. How can we connect the dots and integrate everything so that we feel more whole and balanced as a result?
While Pisces sees that everything is already connected and he is indeed one part of the whole, Virgo feels separate from source and longs to find that sense of completion. It is for this reason that Virgo can be a bit of a perfectionist.
I know firsthand how perfectionism can hold you back. I have both a Virgo moon and a Virgo rising. You could say that perfectionism is my middle name. But, thankfully I’ve learned to balance these energies.
What Virgo’s need to learn and what this Virgo moon is reinforcing to all of us is that perfection doesn’t really exist. Instead, we are perfectly imperfect.
When I look at the polarity between Virgo and Pisces I tend to see it as Judgment versus Acceptance. Where Virgo is more likely to look at something form a critical eye, Pisces is more likely to accept it for what it is and see the beauty in that.
We shouldn’t neglect Virgo’s gifts however. We want to use that drive for perfection and order to our advantage. How can we re-organize our lives? How we can make things better? These are the questions to ask ourselves right now.
This Virgo full moon offers us a chance to practice discernment in our lives. This is our chance to purify and to let go of anything toxic. Ask yourself what you want to let die with the winter rather than carrying it with you into the new cycle starting in the spring.
You may notice that any seeds you planted on the last Aquarius/Pisces new moon are getting fertilized right now. The Virgo full moon provides a time for self-improvement and examination. It is a time to hone your skills and take action in the direction of your goals.
We’ve been in Pisces for two weeks now and things have gotten a little dreamy. Pisces tends to have his head in the clouds in a flight of fantasy. This Virgo full moon is giving us a bit of a reality check reminding us to keep our feet on the ground.
Because of Virgo’s perfectionistic tendencies, Virgo can be a bit of an anxious sign. Be mindful of your nervous system in the next few days. Take time out for relaxation and consider using herbal remedies such as chamomile, lavender, and valerian to help you stay calm.
Full moon’s can be a time of purging. There’s no need to try to repress what comes up. Instead let it out and you’ll feel much better in the long run. This will ensure that you are able to start fresh on the next new moon (which just so happens to be the Spring Equinox).
Be sure to look at your chart to see which house this Virgo full moon falls in for you. This will give you a better idea of how this particular full moon will impact your personal life.
